The much-ballyhooed petition to the UK Parliament to re-do the June 23, 2016 Brexit referendum is suspect because hackers spammed the petition with millions of signatures from such UK [sarc] locales as Vatican City, North Korea, Ghana, Vietnam, Uganda and Turkmenistan.
But you don’t hear or read about the petition being a fake in the MSM, do you?
Louise Mensch reports for HeatStreet, June 26, 2016, that “the supposed ‘popular petition’ for a second referendum – wholly illegal and unworkable, and unprecedented in British history – is a prank” by posters on 4Chan and Anonymous.
Someone devised a programming code called Mooter, and posted it on 4Chan. The Mooter program code enables anyone to spam the re-do petition with fake signatures, including nearly 40,000 signatures from Vatican City, which has a 2012 population of only 451, as well as nearly 24,000 from North Korea, the least Internet-connected country…
